A clear setup for your Gold trading workflow
Smart Golden Portfolio v1.4 is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, configured for XAUUSD. Its internal strategy timeframe defaults to M30, independently of the chart period. Set up the version you receive using the included EAStorely quick-start guide.
- Choose your sizing method: fixed lots, lots per $1,000 balance or risk percentage per trade.
- Configure trade management: Stop Loss, Take Profit and trailing start, distance and step.
- Control new entries: separate BUY and SELL permissions, optional spread limit and optional second position.
- Review the account controls: optional daily loss, daily drawdown and equity limits, plus Friday settings.
- Optional USD news pause: the MT5 economic calendar can block entries around high-impact USD events. This filter is off by default.
Before you start
Use MetaTrader 5 desktop with your broker's XAUUSD symbol. Install the EX5 in MQL5 > Experts, refresh Navigator and review the inputs on a demo account before enabling Algo Trading. The standard setup does not require an external SET file or DLL imports.
Check protection settings before enabling them: the optional daily close-all setting can close other positions in the same trading account. Review broker lot limits and the distinction between the EA's pip distances and broker points.
